M50489 condemned at Derby Litchurch lane Works, its collision damage evident. It is now on accommodation bogies and has no doubt gone through component recovery. Although withdrawn in October 76, it would be Nov 79 before the carcass was finally cut up (John Woolley)
Believed to be M50489 on the left, stored grounded at Newton Heath depot for final parts recovery. Two months later it would be transported away for final scrap, along with M50486, also withdrawn and visible on the right (D Hills)
